A collection of my home brewing notes
I am excited to start this brew. All equipment has been purchased, my brew partner bought the brew package, we will be making an American Pale Ale. In preparation I purchased from the local liquor store an amber ale, a goofy guy at the store said it would be closest to an american pale. It was a mighty tasty beer! Below I will outline the equipment, ingredients, the plan, brew day notes, bottle day notes, and final results.
Brew day went well. Well, it was rough, first brew day, learned a lot. Definitely need more heat, it took forever for the wort to heat up. Our thermometer broke as well, defintely will need a better style. It took us a long time to cool down the wort as well. Hopefully the final beer will taste good, we were careful about sanitizing everything. Oh and the air stop was not sized correctly, our makeshift solution was leaking air.
